Marken Ltd is owned by M O Akinsanya, who established Rocky Merchant Trading Co. (import and export of commercial and household goods) in 1965 and Expo Aluminum Ltd (manufacturer of Aluminum doors, windows, railings and much) in 1980. Marken Ltd was established in 1993 to handle the real estate holdings and dredging activities. 

In 1982, M O Akinsanya began his real estate holdings activities by acquiring over 200 acres of land, in various part of Lagos state, and also by the waterfront. By 1992, the real estate holdings activities expanded into property development, sales and leasing of residential (low/medium housing estate, apartments and much more) and commercial properties (Shops, Stores, Office complex, etc).

In 1996, dredging was included in the line of services. We have been stock piling and selling sand on a commercial basis from one of our sites in Ikorodu, Lagos State.  Marken Ltd is also involved in the distribution and sale of residential/commercial air conditioning units.
